Airworks Goes To Edmonton Chamber Pioneering Innovation Panel

From self-sufficient green homes and state-of-the-art power generation, to world renowned gaming experiences and air compression inventions: the participants in the Edmonton Chamber Pioneering Innovation Panel represent Edmonton companies at the very forefront of product, science and technology innovation.


Airworks Compressors Corp. was pleased to participate in the Pioneering Innovation Panel, organized by the Edmonton Chamber at Sutton Place on October 18, 2017. Our President, Darryl Weflen, had the opportunity to share the vision for Xpedition 90X, a ‘trip of firsts’ spearheaded by Airworks Compressors to prove the ruggedness of the newly developed G-Force Hybrid Drive System in the most harsh environment on earth.

Airworks honoured to participate in Annual Clean Energy Showcase

September 2009 – Airworks is proud to announce their participation in the 7th annual Canadian Clean Energy Showcase held in Houston at the Rice University in September, 2009.  They were one of only four Canadian companies selected by the Canadian Consulate to apply for this prestigous honor.  There can’t be enough thanks for all of the encouragement and help that the Canadian Consulate, here in Edmonton and in Houston, gave us prior to and during this event.


Airworks wins NovaNAIT award for Innovative Technology

December 21, 2009 – Darryl Weflen, President of Airworks Compressors Corp, won the prestigious NovaNAIT award for Innovative Technology, 2009.  He was presented with his award Dec 21/09 for his new Hybrid air compressor in the acclaimed Twister series.


Airworks joins CIPEC

January 2010 – Airworks Compressors Corp is pleased to announce our commitment as a CIPEC Leader with Natural Resources Canada’s – Canadian Industry Program for Energy Conservation. “We are working toward a stronger economy and cleaner environment by using energy more efficiently” – Darryl Weflen, President.

Airworks Helps in Haiti Relief

February 4, 2010 – Airworks has generously donated two of their air compressors for the relief effort in Haiti.  The UN has received a T185 mounted on a rescue skid, and the Canadian Relief Foundation will receive a Twister T40 also mounted on a rescue skid to assist with their heroic efforts in the recent Haiti disaster.

Airworks is named Alberta Small Business Award of Distinction

February 19, 2010 – Airworks is winner of Alberta Small Business Award of Distinction for 2010. This great honour was announced on February 19th, 2010 by the Alberta Chamber of Commerce. Airworks is also eligible for the prestigious Premiere’s Award of Distinction, stay tuned.
